Meet Alyssa O’Mara

Alyssa has been in the beauty industry since 2017, but her connection to the salon world began much earlier. Her mom owned a salon, and Alyssa grew up spending time there, watching firsthand how much a stylist could affect the way someone felt about themselves.

After losing her mom when she was 11, Alyssa saw just how many clients had been impacted by her during her career. That stayed with her and became a major reason she chose to become a stylist herself. For Alyssa, doing hair has always been about more than the service. It’s about making people feel seen, comfortable, and good about themselves.

Her work today focuses heavily on lived-in color, blonding, and dimensional results that still feel natural. She also offers barbering, haircuts, weft extensions, bridal hair, and bridal makeup.

Alyssa has completed Bellami extension education and bridal makeup training with Joy Loveless. She also attended barber school to become a crossover barber and has continued her education throughout her career through salon classes covering color, product knowledge, business, and other technical areas.

Behind the chair, Alyssa describes herself as funny, honest, bubbly, and easy to be around. She wants clients to feel like they can be themselves, talk openly, and trust her professional opinion. Her goal is to create the kind of appointment people look forward to, where the conversation feels natural and the client leaves feeling confident in both the experience and the result.

The relationships are a major part of what she enjoys most. Alyssa wants her chair to be a place where clients can share the big things happening in their lives, the good news, the hard days, or just the latest story they needed to tell someone. She wants the appointment to feel less transactional and more like spending time with someone who knows you.

Outside of work, Alyssa is married and has two fur babies. She loves spending time with friends, shopping, working on whatever craft has her attention at the moment, and making TikToks whenever inspiration hits.
